Tip #2

Making Informed Choices: Online Security and Digital Privacy

This #InternetIntelligence tip is about recognizing the trade-offs some online services might require, and making informed choices in line with what’s important to you.

For example, using the default settings on a given device, app or website might provide a more seamless and convenient experience, but could sacrifice some privacy and security. If on the other hand you choose the settings that are more privacy and security conscious, your experience might be limited or more complicated.

Only you know what your needs and risk tolerance, so it’s up to you to decide where your internet experience will land at the intersection of privacy, security, and convenience.
