She thinks Sally will be too busy for Michaud to see her much. She told him she feared it was too late for Edouard because Felicia's in love with the fisherman. She said he had wasted his time in pursuing Sally this long. He told her he wanted Felicia to go through the visualization process in order to realize her heart doesn't belong with Zane.
Cass met Kathleen in Smiley's and told her everything was legal. She accused him of protecting THEM. She has a feeling. He told her nothing was up. She hates it.
Nancy's silly. Chris is severe. She told him of Carl's furlough etc. She suspects the accidents are connected to the Egyptian thing. Enter Ada boiling mad at Carl. Exit Chris. He called Daphne.
Cass is more suspicious than he let on. Daphne's in a state. She told Cass about Sally. He subtly pointed out the bond they shared in thinking Michaud was off his nut. He asked her out for a drink tonight. He'll come by her place.
Michaud herded Felicia about. She told him she'd promised Zane he could escort her to the gala and she felt for Zane what she hadn't felt since Edouard. He said strange things about fate. He wants to see all her dreams come true.
Sally returned home and was surprised. She told Catlin about the job. He told her about the loan and said she could call Michaud and retract her acceptance. She said she couldn't.
Zane brought something she forgot to Felicia. Exit Michaud. Zane thinks Michaud's in love with her. She doesn't but they both feel Michaud is hurt about something.
Chris went to the Chapin estate and asked questions about Egyptology of Daphne. He told her Carl was in town. He explained about Perry and Nancy. He doesn't think Carl is a day at the beach. He asked to borrow a reference book. He told her everything he knew, really.
Catlin took it badly. Sally assured him she'd chuck it if it didn't work out but Michaud understood she needed time with him and Kevin. She wants to celebrate. Kissing.
Nancy's a rotten patient. Just the sort of foully bad-tempered person she has to candystripe. She left to be X-rayed. Ada took a call from Carl and yelled at him to fetch his box.
Felicia can't find a gown to suit Kathleen 's taste. At last they did. Kathleen's afraid to be bold and fascinating. Felicia's reassuring. Exit Kathleen. Michaud entered with a surprise for Felicia. She is to be visualized. He made her postpone lunch with Zane. She needn't fast. She's surprised but pleased. He told her she'd find out what she wanted.
Catlin and Sally seemed to be celebrating thoroughly. He's resigned and although not ecstatic not nasty. She's tickled to death at the thought of having her very own PI. Michaud called to say her personal secretary was on her way. Catlin didn't seem thrilled.
Jose: Miss Grimaldi asked that you wait in the library. Cass: Oh, I know. And I tried that for a little while but I got BORED, Jose. So I thought I'd amuse myself in here. Did you know Jose that I collect antiques myself? Jose: yes, but Miss Grimaldi left strict instructions. Cass: yes, but Miss Grimaldi is also very late for our appointment. Do you know what's keeping her? Jose: she was carried away on an emergency. Cass: A Lesoleil emergency? Michaud held Zane at bay while Felicia was visualizing. Zane's suspicious of the whole thing.
Cass was charming and ingratiating. He got a little too close to the truth in suggesting she [Daphne] was plotting an Egyptian treasure hunt. She demanded a drink.
Chris showed Nancy a picture in his book of the thing from the box. It says it's inscribed "he who holds this falcon beware. Its eyes seek misfortune, its beak draws blood." He's skeptical. They realized the box is gone. She doesn't like it.
