Rachel took fits. Carl was rational. He said he'd reformed.
Daphne: the most difficult part of devoting your life to Lesoleil is knowing that Michaud will take all the credit. Sally: really? Daphne: yes, when you shine it is mostly because you are his creation. Michaud: and I think I have created a monster. Daphne: no, a slave. Michaud: Oh yes, that's true. Daphne: you hear? He admits it. Michaud: Daphne slaves away 24 hours a day for me because she is so madly in love with me but since you Sally or not you will have no trouble breaking away to more important things. Isn't that right, Daphne? Daphne: if you mean the part about not being madly in love with you, she wouldn't dare. Michaud: and why not? Daphne: because besides having a very handsome husband, she knows I would never share you with anyone.
Marley took fits at Jake. She was she's recognized him in a photograph with Victoria. She demands the truth. He'll own up.
Rachel couldn't get a toehold because Carl said he'd seen the error of his ways and smoothly agreed with every accusation. She tried to call the police. He wants to talk to Nancy.
Jake confessed he'd known Victoria his whole life. He told Marley Vic had always known about her and talked about her all the time. He didn't tell about Bridget. He said Vicky had become obsessed with Marley and wanted to know all about her so Jake had gone scouting ahead. He says he got to know Marley "too good". She said [realized] they [Vicky and Jake] had been lovers. Jake said it was different and she had to understand.
Catlin and Sally decided to go home. They love Kevin. Michaud wants a meeting with Sally tomorrow morning. Will do. Michaud cautioned Catlin to see Sally home safely [what's he going to do, push her off a bridge?]. Michaud thanked Daphne for providing him with an opportunity to set Catlin's fears that he has designs on his wife at rest. Daphne thinks true love should be left alone. Michaud thinks that said love is the reason Sally glows but she's not aware of what she wants. He has to work to prepare for the meeting. Daphne doesn't want to sleep alone. He's sorry.
Rachel took fits. Carl wants to see his almost daughter-in-law. Enter Mac. "HUTCHINS." Carl was amicable. Mac took fits. Exit Carl. Enter Nancy. They told her of Carl. They told her they had to send Perry's stuff back [Carl had asked for it]. She refused.
Catlin and Sally relieved Liz. Sally [had] enjoyed herself. Catlin has reservations. He's wary of Michaud. Liz asked if mention had been made of the Lesoleil Woman. Sally said not. And added she'd never take a job with them lest she turn out like Daphne. Catlin doesn't think there's any likelihood of that. According to him the woman is ice. [she can't have flirted with him too successfully then.] Not that she isn't a looker, mind you. Catlin was waiting for Michaud to haul off and let Daphne have it in the neck. She made digs about Lesoleil. Catlin says Michaud is arrogant, quoting his "Daphne slaves away" speech. Sally thinks Michaud has reason to be proud but Liz agrees with Catlin. Sally told them to relax because she can handle any man. Catlin made strange eyebrow raising noises at this and Liz took it as her cue to leave. Nobody stopped her. Catlin suggested they get out of their fancy clothes and get back to who they really are. A lot of kissing.
Michaud dreamt about Sally coming to him and saying she was his completely. I'm not sure whether it was a Brittanyesque sort of fantasy but it was interrupted by Daphne who advised him not to underestimate Sally and Catlin's love.
Marley asked what she had to understand. She got wildly upset with him and told him to go and collapsed weeping and hitting him saying he'd heard her so much. He said he loved her.
Catlin had no success in trying to get a loan. This caused him to take his frustrations out on his cornflakes. He attacked them with no little vim. She suggested she take the Lesoleil job in order to get the money for him [$50,000]. Catlin nixed that. Sally left to meet Michaud as Larry appeared. He doesn't think she stands much of a chance with Clarice. Catlin's confident Clarice will come around. Larry's going to pressure the loan officers some more.
Nancy wants to talk to Carl about the stuff. Rachel forbids it. Exit Nancy in a State.
Jake came back next morning with a bus ticket for Marley. She refuses to turn Victoria in. He warned her of Ned. He went to make a phone call.
Daphne said Michaud wanted Donna to find Britt an escort. Donna doesn't think much of Britt [funny, she's always gotten along so well with stable hands in the past] but she'll do her damnedest. Enter Sally. Daphne showed her to the visualization room to meet Michaud [Donna was interested]. She tried to hit Daphne up for a sort of retainer to guarantee her services for future freelance projects. No go. Michaud appeared and said "leave us. We would be alone" or words to that effect. Exit Daphne. Sally got upset when Michaud brought up the Lesoleil woman business. She yelled at him. She asked what in hell he saw in her. He'll show her.
Larry returned to the cabin in a fever of excitement.
Muffy and friends were nasty to Nancy. Enter Carl. They fled. He approached. Nancy was a little nervous. He was pleasant. They discussed Perry. He thinks they should visit the grave. She asked about the box. He offered to take them back.
They got the loan. Catlin's thoughtful gift of a box of cigars turned the tide. He can't wait to surprise Sally.
Michaud showed Sally a bunch of photographs he had taken of her secretly. Being Nice to Kevin. Being In Love with Catlin. Being Angry But In Love with him anyway. He said she was extraordinary. She protested. She cherishes privacy. He said she could still have it. She made as if to go. He said there was one last inducement. She said he could go ahead but it wouldn't work.
Mark and Rachel don't like Carl. Enter Nancy with Carl's chauffeur in order to return the box. Mac asked that he leave. Nancy went too. Mac ordered the car stopped.
Michaud hedged. He told her about the salary. Negotiable, but an advance of $50,000.
Nancy told the chauffeur to keep on driving. Sudden crash.
Ned's friends got hold of Marley.
