When Jamie got to Tops, Lisa wasn't there. He felt stood up and complained to Wally.
Mitch complained about being detained. Felicia arrived and fell into his arms.
John paced out the drawing room. He refused to let Clara help him. She's baking a surprise. Left alone, John ran into Donna. Donna was perfectly natural and friendly but John was odd. She said Michael was in a business meeting and she was going to MJ's shower. John was offensive until Clara came in.
Lisa showed. She told Jamie she had a couple of things to say. She's never told a man she loved him before. Their feelings haven't changed. That's it. Jamie apologised for being impatient and pushing her and promised to stop. She was grateful. He promised her and uninterrupted evening. The hospital phoned.
Mitch introduced Felicia as his woman, not an art thief. He suggested the men put the guns down. They did, warily. Man: So, who are you, apart from Blake's -- woman? Felicia: Well, my name is Felicia Gallant, I'm sure you've heard of me. Man: You have a record? The police refused to let Mitch leave. Felicia was impatient. Another female put in an appearance. Cathy. A police officer. Felicia was stupid and unreasonable. (Man: If she's bored with Bay City, send her to Fresno.) Cathy went back to the bedroom. Mitch tried to get Felicia to see reason.
Wally pounced on Adam and MJ and asked them to help select flowers for the reception. Adam is counting on living another sixty years. Wow. Kissing. Jamie took his leave of Lisa. Adam dashed up and offered to look after her. Jamie left Lisa in his capable and lovely hands.
Clara told Donna they needed to talk. She thanked her for putting up with John's presence. Clara sounded very evil. She said vague things about an argument she'd had with John before Vietnam. Donna didn't seem to get it.
Mitch made ineffectual noises about talking to a lawyer and tried to put Felicia out. She noticed an envelope drop down the chimney. They had Cathy pick it up. It was a ransom note. The police left Mitch and Felicia alone. Felicia claimed responsibility.
Adam talked very nicely and reasonably to Lisa while MJ looked at pictures of flowers. He advised her not to try too hard. MJ came up. They were all nice and friendly. Lisa made them go and dance. Jamie got back. He made Lisa dance with him. Silence of a sinister nature. Joe?
Clara said she didn't want to see Donna caught between John and Michael. Donna said her allegiance was to Michael. It was mostly stupid. Clara said 'balance' a lot. Clara rushed to check on her brownies. John came in and mixed up a Philippine Pistol. Donna tried too hard to be supportive. John complained. He said she was always putting on an act with him and he couldn't stand it. Clara appeared with brownies. Donna fled. Clara seems inexplicably evil, you know. She assured John he'd see again and meet the woman who was really right for him.
Lisa got upset because she remembered dancing with Gollum. Jamie retrieved her and reassured her. They went back out on the dance floor.
Mitch yelled at Felicia. She wrote the note and the address is Macy's. He said they were going back to Bay City. She protested. She loves San Francisco. Mitch agreed to stay in town. He proposed another hotel. They made for the door.
Adam is bespectacled. He's right up there with Donald O'Connor in Call Me Madam for lovely looks. MJ told him she couldn't resist him when he wore his glasses. Kissing. They love. Joe made another one of his phone calls. He's certain he'll pull it off at the shower. Some woman recognised Lisa as the psychic. Jamie got nasty.
Mitch's hotel was not as elegant as it had once been. Felicia said it was obviously a former bordello. Mitch asked if she wanted to leave. She said she didn't want to risk it. Sinister creaking and the sound of a cable car. Silence. Suddenly the bed broke (that's what it sounded like).
John fantasized about dancing with Donna under a disco ball. Ugh. Donna's coming into the room brought him out of it.
Jamie offered to take Lisa someplace chilly. High-handed as usual. He told her she could send her regrets to MJ's shower. Adam returned to MJ with some incredible news.
Felicia had Mitch put the radio on. They chatted about Khemingvey. The news let on they were wanted for questioning in the art theft.
Donna told John she was going to MJ's shower and would be back. He dropped back into his disco ball daydream.
