ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

December 19, 1986

For some reason Adam and Jamie are standing around in the McKinnon kitchen. Adam told Jamie he loved her a lot. Enter MJ. "Her who?" she said. Jamie tried to correct her grammar [he mentioned the accusative case. Maybe he isn't so bad, after all] but she didn't appreciate it. Adam tried to change the subject. Cheryl and Scott rushed in before Adam could explain himself. Cheryl has news.

Felicia and Wallingford and a ruly mob paid Michael a visit. They want to help him get that dirtball.

Zack got Peter so worked up that he admitted that sometimes he had wanted Brittany dead. Peggy was tremendously put out. Peter said Zack had provoked him. Zack and Peggy quarreled. The judge called them out. [Not exactly, only think how sweet to see the three of them dueling.] He gave them a hard time (and made a speech about their being a part of the greatest legal system in the world) and warned them to stop behaving theatrically.

Jamie apologized to Adam for butting in and congratulated him on having got the girl. MJ reluctantly left off badgering Adam for the time being after Jamie left in order to hear Cheryl's news. Cheryl said a postcard addressed to Cheryl B McKinnon had come to the restaurant. Since Cheryl's middle initial is not B and Kathleen called her Cheryl bear when she was small, this proves it's from her. It says, "All is well. Keep up the good work." The writing is disguised. [Surely that's a little transparent if the police should look at it. And what about postmarks?] MJ resumed beating Adam about the head in order to make him 'fess up.

Wallingford is extremely mad at Reginald. He calmed down a little when he was introduced to Nicole. She biffed off. Wallingford and Felicia explained that Reginald had evicted everyone in Wallingford's apartment building and he wouldn't listen to reason. The tenants' group offered to buy the building at fair market value but he wouldn't sell. Michael agreed to help louse up Reginald's yuletide.

The Hon Leonard decided to allow Peter's testimony. Zack was allowed to continue. Peter admitted he'd hated Brittany. Zack got a little out of line. He let the defence rest. Catlin told Zack he'd done good.

Michael got organized. He drew up the Press in battle formation for use at some future time. They collected Nicole and left for the Northwoods Inn.

Adam escaped most gracefully, having told MJ he would pick her up at 6:00 o'clock. He told her she was nosy. MJ went to have a shower. Cheryl followed her. Scott was surprised. Cheryl told him she and MJ had never had anything in common before. Scott didn't get it.

Cheryl helped MJ dress. She's terribly excited. MJ asked her if she loved Scott. Cheryl described how she felt about him. MJ said it sounded like love. She warned her that she was inexperienced. Cheryl told her that she [MJ] wasn't so terribly experienced. MJ said she was more experienced about men than she knew and changed the subject. Cheryl asked how many men she'd been with.

Rachel looked at Felicia and Mitch funny.

Closing arguments began. Peggy got её очередь [her turn]. She proved there was no evidence to show that Peter had treated Brittany or the baby badly. She said that Brittany could have extricated herself from Peter's clutches is if she hadn't wanted all of Peters money instead of just some. The bitch is guilty. Zack got up for his turn. Before he could begin Bridget rushed in with the baby. Bridget is a nitwit. Peggy called it an attempt to prejudice the jury. Zack denied it. The judge refused to call a mistrial since the jury could see Brittany as either maternal or calculating as a result of Bridget's timely appearance. Zack began summing up. He said Brittany had made a mistake in getting pregnant out of wedlock and an even bigger mistake in believing that Peter offered her kindness. He said she would have done anything for her baby. He said she had shot Peter in self-defense. The judge declared a short recess.

The sight of MJ was very nearly too much for Adam. He was quite overcome. Cheryl bade them godspeed and get home at a decent hour. Cheryl pointed out to Scott that they were alone.

Felicia told Rachel that Mitch was working and rooming at the Northwoods Inn. "How convenient," said Rachel. This proved too much for Felicia, and she told Rachel to say something if she had something to say.

Michael plotted with Wallingford.

Rachel was appalled to find Felicia had taken the room right next to Mitch's. She thought it was too obvious. She accused her of having fallen for Mitch. Felicia denied it. They accused each other of being in love with Mitch. Enter Jamie. Exit Felicia. Rachel told Jamie she wanted to leave.

Wallingford got MJ and Adam special table. MJ and Adam danced [Isn't it Romantic? Rachel and Jamie cruised past MJ and Adam looking deliriously happy. Jamie looked at them funny.

Michael brooded.

Scott asked to see the rest of the house to see how the Vince impostor got in to steal the necessary clothes. She [Cheryl] asked him to come to her room to help her find a map of the street. He was wary but she was persuasive. [For some reason MJ got dressed in Cheryl's room. I had thought there were a good deal too many stuffed animals displayed.] Once in her room she said she'd stopped sleeping with teddy bears because she wasn't a little girl anymore.

Adam called a halt to the dancing. He and MJ sat down. She attacked him about what she'd overheard between him and Jamie. Adam admitted it had made him mad to see Jamie fixing her light switch and joking about her kissing him. So he'd blurted it out. She asked him to say it. He said, "I love you. I've loved you from the first time I ever saw you." Then he kissed her. [I was impressed. Especially with the "from the first time I ever saw you." That's 135 episodes, and they did indeed look at each other funny.]

Felicia tried to attach mistletoe to her ceiling while listening to cheerful Christmas music. She fell from the chair and screamed. Mitch came dashing in.

"The jury participants have been instructed to be fair and impartial as if they were a real jury. They alone will reach a verdict based on the evidence presented in this trial." Is the bitch guilty or is she not?
