ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

September 17, 1986

Brittany refused to be mean to Marissa. Peter held Miss Weston over her head like the sword of Damocles. She asked if it weren't enough that he'd ruined her [Brittany's] life; did he have to ruin Marissa's life too? (I don't think it would exactly ruin my life to hear Brittany say she hated me, but what can you expect from a woman who could marry both Vince and Reginald? And anyway I think Brittany did her fair share of ruining.)

Scott and Mary and Reginald had breakfast together. Marissa went out to shop for gifts for Peter Reginald and Marley. Reginald asked Scott's help.

Rachel phoned Felicia's. Mitch picked up the receiver and shocked her. He was able to turn the phone over to Felicia with shocking promptness. Felicia explained why he was in her apartment sleeping ON HER COUCH. (Mitch made noises refuting the couch in the background.) The evidence is against her. Rachel got weird. Felicia soothed her. She assured her Mitch would soon be gone.

Peter kept on about Miss Weston. Brittany gave in. He told her how much she'd hurt him by pretending to be in love with him and pregnant with his child. She said she was sorry. He said she had made him horribly cruel. He suggested that Miss Weston could go forever if Brittany was mean to Marissa. Brittany grew hopeful.

Cass told Jake the money was a smokescreen. Jake brought up Scott.

Reginald told Scott Bay Citizens were hostile to Marissa and she would be convinced to leave. Scott refused to manipulate her. He left in a huff. Peter phoned to say all was well.

Felicia showed Mitch the door. He resisted. He said he'd be back come nightfall.

Reginald hates deceiving Marissa but he loves her too much to lose her.

Cass defended Scott. Cheryl asked Jake to cover her station while she tried on her bridesmaid's dress. Cass plotted with Wallingford

Peter and Reginald lurked.

Mitch reported to the Corys' for work. Rachel bugged him about inflicting his beastly presence on Felicia. He insisted on being allowed to see his son in two weeks.

Brittany dropped in on Marissa. Marissa chaptered brightly about how much she liked her and wanted to be friends. Brittany very unconvincingly told her she hated her.

Cass asked Wallingford to track down obscure witnesses for the cause.

Peter chatted up Jake. He talked about burglaries in Vince's presence. Vince ran upstairs.

Reginald burst in on Cheryl while looking for Scott and introduced himself. Vince came across them and flipped out. He raved about Mary. A lot of violence broke out. Cast and Jake and Peter intervened. Reginald declared himself wronged. The crowd dispersed. Cheryl yelled at Scott. They decided they shouldn't cause trouble and they should steer clear of each other. They did not seem thrilled. He told her she looked very pretty in her pink bridesmaid's monstrosity.

A distinctly cardboard Brittany accused Marissa of being a transparent gold digger and said she and Marley and Donna never wanted to see her again.

Rachel said they should be civilised. Match told her house well Felicia was and said he thought she [Rachel] looked sexy.

Jake with civil to Scott. Scott brooded aloud and apologised for his father. Vince appeared and forgave him his father. Cass took Scott aside and suggested he rat on the rat. Scott refused. He said he hoped his Real Father was nothing like Reginald Love.

Marissa sobbed on Reginald's neck. He soothed her.

Brittany reported to Peter. She asked if he would fire Miss Weston now. He said the requirement was that she get Marissa right out of Bay City. She cried out that she was taking the baby and leaving right away. The baby cried. Enter Bridget.

Felicia showed her second Vulture installment to Rachel. Rachel advised her not to sacrifice personal safety to prove a point. Felicia dredged up Zane and changed the subject. Rachel mentioned her bust of Mary but they started chatting about Mitch before Rachel got around to showing it to Felicia.

Mitch messed around looking for the trump on his lunch break. He made Eureka [εὕρηκα]-type noises.

Wallingford is half Irish. He has a lead.

Reginald was forced to tell Mary about Vince's attack. He told her she should flee the hostility. He asked her to leave Bay City with him immediately.

Rachel fussed about her Mary sculpture. Felicia asked to see it. They were distracted by worrisome noises in the stables.
