ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

May 13, 1985

Perry called Marley and told her he had to talk to her because Jake and Bridget were up to something.

Tom feels fine. I'm so confused. MARLEY and Nancy are there. I guess Perry's talking to Victoria.

Carter's thinking about himself and his wife out back at Smiley's after the wedding. The doctor wants to talk with him. The baby's fine but there is a problem. Tom has some weird condition I can't spell. She has to get plenty of rest and keep her blood pressure down and a lot of care until the end of the pregnancy. It could be fatal.

Marley or Victoria tried to put Perry off but he's coming over. He got a call saying Carl had been involved in an accident in the pen.

Everybody loved Felicia's show and Cass. He took her to task over her nastiness. He wanted a cassette of the show because her nastiness backfired. She bitched to him about Kathleen. He is hopeful of success. He says he'll show Kathleen.

Someone [I suspect the sinister woman] is watching Cass' interview over. Yes 'twas her. She says he's even better than she imagined. He's got nerve and they should start the wheels in motion. She called for a messenger.

Carter sounds strange. The doctor thinks she'll be all right if they follow his instructions but if the condition worsens they'll have to deliver the baby. She's only 21 weeks pregnant and the baby won't stand a chance before 28 weeks. The doctor chatted to him about how much they've taken on with school and work and marriage. He said Carter couldn't do everything and he was to call at home even if there was trouble. Tom has yet to be told.

Marley left when Carter appeared to see Tom.

Nancy told Rachel Ada wouldn't let her go to Paris with Perry. She thinks he'll think she didn't want to go. Rachel offered to talk to Ada for her just as Nancy had hoped. Ada came. They flattered her no end and Ada asked what was going on.

Donna got hold of Mac. He'll donate to her symphony. She's pleased. She wants his advice over lunch. Financial advice. He's so fatherly and kind. He recommended an accountant. She asked him to dinner and was very persuasive. She uses Carl as a common bond. She says it's very important. 7:00 at her house.

Nancy says nothing is going on. Rachel said they'd been arguing. She said that Ada had managed to convince Nancy that not going to Paris was a good idea. Rachel: I just think this is a TERRIFIC opportunity for Nancy. Ada: it's not a bad opportunity for Perry, either. Nancy: Mom, Perry is different, you know that. Ada: Not THAT different. [P. Hutchins: seething bucket of lust.] She says he's too rich for a boy his age. She took Nancy to lunch. Nancy's determined to get to Paris.

It was Victoria. She has to find out how much Perry knows. He came in. He said she was strange. He told her all about Jake and Bridget and the bug. She said he must be wrong. He said he'd call the police. She said no, she'd talk to Donna. He told her to stay away from Jake and he had to catch a plane and she should go to the hospital to apologize to Nancy for him. She said she was sorry about his father and she'd take care of it. He left.

Carter tried to pass Tom's condition off lightly to her. He told her what she had to do. He said the baby was great.

Donna went to the salon and told her man François about her relationship with Mac Cory. Rachel was not far off, natch. François said Mac only had eyes for his wife and she asked if he were sure about that. She told him Mac and Rachel had separated and she'd always thought they were wrong for each other. [He's an aristocrat and she's TACKY.] Rachel appeared to Donna [after the latter was saying in cultured italics that Mac was most likely relieved] and told her if she intended to talk about her personal life she should do it to her face. She put Donna in her place.

The strange woman can't wait to get back to New York.

Felicia's going on a promotion tour this afternoon. Cass thinks he should promote himself. He wants to have a party. The messenger came for Cass. Something scented.

Mac came to see Rachel. She wants to talk to him. She wants to know what she was like when they were first married. She asked if she had been tacky. He said not. She asked if she'd been poor. He was forced to admit she had been. They're getting along all right. She hasn't remembered any more.

Donna wants Marley to go to visit Tom tonight. Marley suspected her of wanting to get rid of her. Donna confessed that Mac was coming over. Marley thinks she's concerned about Mac and Rachel and assures her they'll reconcile completely. She agreed to leave though. It remains only to get rid of Bridget. AND STAY PETER.

Victoria is pulling apart Jake's room looking for the bug.

Cass was sent a plane ticket to New York by a woman called Daphne Grimaldi. BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY.

Victoria showed Jake the bug and told him Perry had planted it and he knew.
