ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

September 9, 1986

Mitch cruised by the Corys' to see his son.

Scott yelled at Reginald for lying to Mary. Mary yelled at Reginald for lying to both of them.

Mac is putting out a special edition of Brava to make certain Reginald is exposed quickly.

Aloha Michael and Donna. Donna said they had to enjoy every inch of blissful Hawaii. Michael kissed her enthusiasm for sightseeing into a manageable form. She told him she loved him so much she'd changed. He said he was crazy about her. He took off, leaving her to her own devices.

Rachel told Mitch to get out and insisted Matthew wasn't there. She told him Matthew was at boarding school. He said she was in trouble.

Felicia's piece on the Vulture was brilliant. George Carruthers has to check it for libel before it can go out. Mac said Peter would have to choose between him and his Carrot. (Do we notice a marked similarity between Peter and a donkey?)

Reginald admitted to having lied. He claimed to have been protecting his wife from reporters. He shoved in some other things. Marissa was convinced but called him overprotective. He called Adam overzealous. Scott pricked up his ears at the mention of Mary McKinnon.

Rachel ordered Mitch out. He asked her to consider his paternal feelings. She said she was going to deal with this in her own time and if he misbehaved himself she'd return him to store.

Reginald very clearly stated that Mary McKinnon had fallen overboard and he knew nothing about it. Marissa believed him and gently chided Scott for seeming to side with the McKinnons. He apologised and went home. Mary asked him about his affair with Mary.

Hawaiian Music. Michael and his ukulele? Wise men say only fools rush in but I can't help falling in love with you. Shall I stay would it be a sin for I can't help falling in love with you. (I'm not certain whether this is Michael singing. It's a charming song.) Take my hand take my whole life too for I can't help falling in love with you for I can't help falling in love with you. (I commit myself. It's Michael. He never says help for some reason.)

Marissa admitted Adam had told her. Reginald said he'd being a human widower and Mary was pretty and willing. Then he went to Chicago and met Marissa the night she played(?). He broke it off with Mary who shrugged philosophically and made for a gardener. (Seventeen years ago. Does Marissa realise she can't be Scott's mother?) He married Marissa secretly.

MJ accused Adam of trying to ruin the rest of her father's life by messing around in Mary's death. He asked her to help him. He told her she wanted to do it. He tried to ask her out again. She walked out.

Rachel said they had to keep Matthew first. He told her she was an uptight woman who denied her feelings. He accused her of being in a rut. Clothes. Hair. Sculpture. Husband. She threw him out.

Michael and Donna went in for a lot of kissing. He suggested they go inside and stop distracting the musicians. They went in. He suggested dinner. He keeps calling her Pele and refusing to explain. She said he meant she was a short Brazilian soccer player. He said not. She threatened to ask the musicians and he admitted Pele was the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes. Kissing. Strange mutterings.

Reginald seems to have convinced Mary that she was a concert pianist before her accident. She has amnesia, you know. At least she doesn't remember being at the Conservatory. Or their wedding. (Quelle horrible surprise.)

Adam confided in Felicia about MJ. She told him MJ had always refused to let herself fall in love (what price Jamie?) and when girls and romance novels got like that it was because some man had been mean and nasty when he should have been kind. Adam is determined to get what he wants one way or another.

Rachel wandered aimlessly about the Cory mansion and didn't hear a word Mac said. She doesn't want to be complacent. She decided to change her hair and her wardrobe. Mac was confused.

Donna and Michael slept. Donna imagined the Carrot appearing and saying mean things about her and Michael. She protested faintly and refused to go with him. Reginald waved his magic wand and Michael turned into a blood stained pillow. Donna whimpered in her sleep and Michael woke and comforted her.

Mitch chatted with Vince about Ada and Rachel.

Rachel pored over magazines. Mac asked what was up. He found traces of Mitch and got mad. Rachel said she'd made it clear to Mitch that he wasn't welcome and went to bed. Mac decided she was doing this for Mitch.

Reginald did something pointless.

Michael held Donna in his arms and assured her he wouldn't let Reginald hurt them.
