ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

December 8, 1986

Mitch told Felicia and Rachel to leave.

Samuels put out an APB for Vince.

The judge demanded order and said that the records would show that the defendant had tried to escape. [It was a stupid outburst. She had left her seat and begun staggering toward the door.] He refused to let Zack say anything. He made Brittany return to her seat and warned Zack to control her. Brittany calmed down when Catlin arrived.

Adam asked Samuels to ease up on MJ. Samuels questioned Ada. Ada was vague. She told Samuels she didn't like Vince and maybe he deserved to be in jail.

Padowski asked Felicia to wait outside with Mitch while he chatted with Rachel.

Peggy explained the nature of a DA to the court. She said she was going to prove Brittany guilty. Zack told the jury it would find Brittany innocent.

Samuels warned MJ against aiding and abetting.

Jamie found Victoria curled up in a ball over the stables worrying about Michael and Donna. He was extremely nice to her. Enter Reginald, dripping disapproval. He told Victoria he didn't like her hanging out in the stables. He described in detail how many things he had done for Donna lately. He left, saying he was going to try to get her out of having to testify. Jamie convinced Victoria to let him take her to lunch at Mary's Place.

MJ took Cheryl aside for a chat. Ada got a cryptic phone call.

Rachel explained that Mitch had restored Matthew to her and he was a good father. Padowski exchanged her for Felicia. Rachel told Mitch Padowski was unpleasant. Padowski asked Felicia what her relationship to Mitch was. He wouldn't believe "friend".

Zack said Brittany had lived in terror. The state called Peter. Peggy proved that Peter was a socially virtuous person. Zack: Your Honour, do we have to sit through an entire litany of Mr Love's achievements? His prominence in Bay City society has nothing to do with this case. Judge: well, are you objecting, Mr. Edwards, or merely interrupting, just to chat? The objection was sustained. Peggy asked Peter about his marriage. Peter said he had loved Brittany until he found out she had married him for his money. He said she had threatened to kill him many times. He said he'd gone to the stables to save her life. Brittany cried out "NO. DON'T LISTEN TO HIM." The judge demanded order. Zack obtained permission to calm her down and to instruct her to behave. Zack yelled at her for violent behavior. She promised to behave. Peggy was given the go-ahead. Peter was asked to describe the threats. He did. He said she had brandished guns and knives and threatened to blow him away. She whispered to Zack "I did say that... But I didn't mean it."

Ada yelled at Jamie for having brought Victoria to Mary's Place when it makes her so uncomfortable. He told her the Northwoods Inn was too expensive. MJ and Cheryl cornered Ada and asked who had phoned. Ada said it had been Kathleen. She left a message in the form of jukebox song #144. NOWHERE MAN. They deduced that Pops had run away. MJ warned Cheryl not to talk about this to anyone.

Felicia maintained that Mitch was a friend and she thought he deserved a chance. She was a little too enthusiastic. Padowski perceives her as a rich widow conned by an ex con. She left. Felicia took offence. They quarreled. Felicia accused her of being jealous. Padowski told Mitch he would give his decision in a couple of days. Mitch told both ladies to back off.

Peter described a few more threats. Zack passed up the chance to cross examine. Peggy called the owner of the hunting shop where Brittany bought the gun. He testified that Brittany knew a lot about guns and had bought a .22, which is a gun suitable for close range. At the time of purchase she seemed dead calm. Peggy got Bridget to describe some threats she'd heard. Bridget became flustered. Zack flustered her even more. She fell apart when he implied that she was unreliable because she didn't know which said what.

Jamie received a summons from Michael. Victoria insisted on coming along.

Cheryl tried to avoid Scott.

MJ told Samuels she thought Cass and Kathleen could be with Vince.

Cheryl fretted about Pops. Ada reassured her. Ada: where's the gorgeous ring? Cheryl: I gave it back. Ada: you gave it back... to him? Cheryl: yeah. Ada: she gave it back to you? Scott: yeah. Ada: well, give it back to her. Make it a "better things are coming" ring, OK? How about it? Cheryl: Maybe you're right. It was pretty rude of me to return it to him in the first place. Ada: how about it, Scott? Scott: I, uh. I threw it away.

Peggy prevented Zack's badgering the witness. Bridget was allowed to leave. Peggy called Reginald. Brittany curled up in defeat. "I might as well be dead."
