ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

June 5, 1986

Brittany told Rachel her Reynolds big baby story. Rachel cut her short saying she was in trouble.

Vic as Marley asked Chris to lunch at the Northwoods Inn.

Felicia found the name of the one woman who had checked in but not out the day of the brooch.

Czaja: It's okay, my Queen, he's alive. Cecile: He is? Oh, thank God. I know because I'm a queen I don't have to thank you, but – you're okay in my book. They headed back to the island.

Larry said it wasn't a whole lot to go on and the woman might not be anything to do with Cass. Felicia wasn't convinced. He agreed to check out good ol' Mathilde Briand.

Mathilde called Gloria who would say only there was a crisis. She's going to type the letter and come to the island.

Rachel told Brittany Donna had heard her call out to Catlin. Brittany refused to admit that she had and that the baby was that premature. When Rachel pressed her she said she'd lied for Peter's pride, to keep him from feeling obligated, but it was his baby. Brittany told her Peter had had her sign papers to set her and the baby up for life even without this marriage.

Cecile hovered over Cass. He displayed very little gratitude for his rescue.

Larry was unable to find a telephone listing for Mathilde. He showed Felicia the flow chart. She was pleased with it until she came to the "known to have affairs with" column. He said he couldn't take it down. She pled with him lest Zane see it.

Brittany confided in Zane about Rachel. He said he thought Peter loved her enough to forgive her. She said she thought the lies would carry her until (and her eyes gleamed) Catlin was over Sally. He's free now. Zane was mildly revolted. She said to imagine his feelings finding out it was his baby.

Vic as Marley chatted with Catlin. She lapsed into her own voice with the waiter and Neal overheard and approached her. He asked why she had no engagement ring.

Felicia was horrified when Larry explained that everyone in the department had to have access to all of the information. When he wasn't looking she flung her coat over the flowchart.

Gloria wanted to take Cass to a doctor but Cecile said it wasn't necessary. Left alone he discovered bars on the windows.

Britt said she felt guilty talking about leaving good Peter and was considering giving up the money he had settled on her and the baby. She said she loved Catlin. He told her to be realistic. She said she'd seen he still cared in the ambulance. He told her to be honest.

Nancy reluctantly told Rachel about Neal writing the letter with Victoria. Rachel told her he didn't deserve to be forgiven. She supported him only because everyone was against him.

Vic told Neal the engagement was off. The strange man was shown to a nearby seat. Neal told Victoria he'd recognized her as herself. She told him to leave her alone. He said she owed him. Enter Chris. Exit Neal. The strange man is interested in him.

Samuels left a message for MJ saying the captain was on the warpath. He very kindly gave her her coat. In spite of her valiant effort to rush Zane out he spotted her name.

Catlin visited Brittany to chat about the Zane lie. She said she'd lied because of Donna and she wanted him to believe she'd never hurt Sally. He was inexorable. She said she'd gone off alone to cool down driving away from the accident. No one saw her but it's the truth. He said he thought he believed her but she'd lied so much. She begged forgiveness and blamed Donna. He advised her to move out with Peter. He forgave her and left (forgave her for lying, not killing Sally. She'd denied that). Enter Peter, looking deranged. (So now you're awake).

Vic asked Chris' opinion of Victoria. He said she was an enigma. Negative, destructive, hostile, he said he thought she needed psychiatric help. She may be a compulsive liar. He tried to like her but she made it impossible to. She cut him short. He said Victoria was bright, talented, beautiful, and probably irredeemable. He apologized.

Felicia toned it down as much as possible. Zane maintained a peculiar silence. AEONS ago she said. He considered it and forgave her, admitting to his own affairs. Felicia: Were they pretty? Zane: Of course they were. Felicia: Oh, how could you say that to me? Zane: Okay, they weren't, they were dogs, everyone of 'em. Ugly with a capital U. I mean, three of them were bald, okay? Enter Larry with reams of names from Cass' little black book. All to be called in for questioning.

Mathilde wrote a dear jane letter saying he (Cass) was incapable of settling down and left it in the typewriter.

Cass started a fire.

Peter examined the baby's birth certificate and threw a fit. What have you done?

Felicia and Zane rushed out to head Kathleen off so she wouldn't see Cass' past all in a row.

Cass yelled "Help. Fire".

Neal tracked Vic as Marley to her room. He told her Victoria had promised him Marley.
