Staff Report 2002-06

In 2001, the board meetings for July and August were cancelled at the 
last minute due to either lack of quorum or lack of items for review
by the board.

I do not foresee the volume of regular business nor urgent issues 
arising that would require a meeting of the full board. Therefore, 
in order to facilitate planning from operational and vacation 
standpoints, both for volunteer board members and for staff, I 
recommend that the July and August board meetings be cancelled.

I have conferred with the Executive Committee and should any business 
of an urgent nature arise, the Executive Committee can be convened 
quickly to deal with any such issues. Should it be  necessary to have 
a full board meeting we can hold one by conference call as was done 
in March for the purpose of approving the 2001 financial statements.

As usual the regular operational report from the Executive Director
will be published each month.
