Part of the current censorship policy deals with the privacy of a user's
information on the system. This information overlaps with the document on
privacy. Again this document is more of a procedural explanation than a policy
statement.

This draft is not a radical departure. It is a codification of our
practice in policy form.

Privacy

The National Capital FreeNet takes every effort to ensure that personal
information is not divulged, however; NCF reserves the right to examine
private files for the purposes of maintaining the system. NCF will not
collect information on users without their prior consent.

There is some concern about privacy in statistical data collected also. I
have not attempted to address that issue in this policy.
