The net benefit to NCF for the provision of volunteers is proration of a sum of $42,000 to the various organization providing volunteers based on % of volunteers. In addition, NCF can also qualify to get a booth to sell merchandise and promote its services. Each volunteer will receive admission ticket, free parking, meals, drinks and cap. Monkman) This item was postponed for discussion at a later date. 4) Government and Foundation Grants Update (Gordon Pearson) Funding request to the Community Foundation appears to be positive. Gordon obtained a directory of foundations and will research further but will require assistance for complete analysis. 5) Membership Donor Drive - Challenge Fund (Full Committee) Regional Goverment grant of $50K requires matching funds to be raised from the NCF community. The Development Committee (D.C.) agreed that these monies must be raised through a special Challenge Fund campaign asap. Lengthy discussion ensued - themes listed below: - Three tier strategy may be used based on usage and contribution to NCF focus this drive on Donations from members - Use as a base active user list and 1994 donor's list - Stay away from lengthy messages on Log-On screen due to current clutter on this screen - Use E-mail with caution - AGM's software may be applicable as tracking mechanism for login messages - Can define active members to people who logged on within the past six months. - SIG challenge is different from Government Challenge members can choose to give to both or either. The Director of Development will devise and implement a campaign to be launched in early June based on the Committee's input. 6) Corporate Sponsorship Campaign (Doug Milne) Three presentation to CEO's resulting in one potential sponsor and the other two as investigating further. He indicated he needs some assistance from Gordon to sell to CEO,s.
