For the instructions for Windows Live Mail, click here.
These instructions are for NCF members who wish to setup Microsoft Outlook Express for the first time. If you have *already* setup Microsoft Outlook Express and are having trouble sending mail, try these steps.
Configure Outlook Express to send and receive email at NCF by the following:
|Display name:||Enter your name as you would like it to appear on outgoing mail|
|Your email address:||accountID@ncf.ca (e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org)
Click here to reserve a personalized email alias.
|Mail server type:||Select POP3 or IMAP (what's the difference?)|
|Your incoming email server:||mail.ncf.ca|
|Your outgoing email server:||mail.ncf.ca|
|Your account name
|Enter your NCF accountID (e.g. ab123) and NCF password.
'Remember password' is recommended. Do not select "Log on using Secure Password Authentication".
The above configuration should work even if you are using a wireless laptop at an internet cafe. The transfer of your password and email between your computer and NCF will be protected by SSL.
