How To Get Involved at NCF

Serving as a Board Member

For more information about serving as a director, please send email to NCF’s Nomination Committee Chair, Chris Cope at ccope@ncf.ca and Sandy Campbell at wordsmith@ncf.ca, expressing your interest and briefly describing yourself.  A Nomination Committee member will be in touch to provide more information and to answer questions.

Serving as an NCF board member is a way for experienced and accomplished individuals to give back to their community.  Tens of thousands of people in the National Capital region were introduced to the internet by not-for-profit NCF.  The NCF Board of Directors ensures that NCF will meet the needs of tens of thousands of people in years to come.

Serving as an Advisor

As an alternative to serving as a board member, you may wish to add you name to a list of “stand-by volunteers”, available, informally, from time to time to advise the Board on matters calling for specialized expertise and an informed opinion.

It would be a most valuable contribution to NCF to help make available occasional access to a bank of experienced and knowledgeable volunteers.  You'd naturally only be available at your convenience and as your schedule permits, and would only be called upon on an "as the need arises basis" for specific advice on matters in your own field.
